OOTD: Silver Polka Dot Jacket

Good Evening!! Today's outfit consisted of a silver and black polka dotted jacket that I got from Lands End.  I am in love with it and just had to take some OOTD pics with it.  When I spotted this jacket at Lands End while shopping over winter break I knew I had to have it! It's just so unique and screamed me all over it! I hope you like it as much as I do.  Also featured in my outfit is a necklace from TJ Maxx, a cardigan from American Eagle, and also from TJ Maxx a pair of cowboy boots, although you cannot see them very well.  I cannot believe how much snow I've gotten recently and I hope the next time I go outside to take pictures it won't be as cold!

Fashion Inspiration Wall Collage

      So, over this long President's Day weekend I decided to get creative and do something with this blank wall space in my room.  I was all over Pinterest looking for the best DIY wall collage and was just about ready to order some expensive Polaroid prints online when I was inspired by my Teen Vogue magazines.  I just got this month's issue in the mail and decided to throw some fashion inspiration on the wall.  I am overjoyed with the result and love the pop of color and high fashion.  (Of course I had to throw Dylan O'Brien in there too).  I used several issues from the past year or so of Teen Vogue to get these pictures and I recommend that you use pages of the same size if you want to create a symmetric look.  I hope you like this as much as I do!

  In addition to the wall art, I also included my statement necklaces.  I recently ordered a bunch of them from Charming Charlie's and am so excited to wear them.  Winter has lasted way too long and I desperately need to start incorporating spring colors to cheer me up.  Watch out for the necklaces in upcoming fashion posts!  And I hope spring comes sooner for the rest of you! -Grace <3

Happy Valentine's Day!!

For some of you this may be a day to celebrate with someone special, but for others it's just another day.  I want to help you guys turn that around!  If you are single, there are still plenty of things you can do to celebrate this holiday!  Even if your just going to sit around and watch movies all day you can spice it up and make it festive!  Below you'll find that i have configured a list of fun and creative things to do to make your Valentine's day a little more interesting!

1. Bake
        Baking cookies is a great way to make your Valentine's day festive and fun.  There are billions of ways you could decorate basic sugar cookies and make them your own.  Get creative! Here is a recipe for basic sugar cookies.  If you don't feel like going through the hassle of making cookies, cupcakes are an easier alternative.  Try going for the classic red velvet and cream cheese frosting!  Or you can make vanilla cupcakes and die your frosting pink or red with food coloring.

2. Watch a movie with your friends
      If your not the only one out of your friends that is single, invite them over to watch a movie together.  You'll feel less alone and will have just as much fun as your other friends.

3. Pick out a cute and festive outfit
     What is better than having an excuse to pick out the cutest Valentine's themed outfit? Then you can wear it out and show it off!

4. Relax
   Have an excuse to treat yourself to something special.  Make an appointment at a spa to get a massage, a manicure or a pedicure.  You can even stay at home and take a nice relaxing bath!

Tea Time

 After writing an essay tonight I needed to relax!  Here are just a few tips on how to end your night relaxed and stress free!  Usually at the end of night a little while before I go to bed I like to drink tea.  It helps calm me down and get a better night sleep.  I was drinking Lipton pomegranate green tea.  It's really good and you don't need to put in any sweeteners!  If you don't like tea you could also drink hot chocolate or another hot beverage but make sure it's non-caffeinated!  You don't want to be up all night!  (I also really love drinking tea because of the mugs... isn't this owl mug sooo cute?!?).  Another thing I do before going to bed is reading a magazine or a book.  I usually read while drinking my tea.  I was reading teen vogue today!  Finally I go on the computer and add to my blog or just surf the web! Good night and sleep tight my lovelies! <3<3<3
